my team is over the salary cap for the next 3 years without even placing a bid in free agency :-(

LOL, yeah. You aren't the only team that has issues with the cap. Once we get the system all up and working, we will talk about actually setting a cap.
Would love to get a few more owners active over here so that I can get input on how to make this thing better.

I love having the salary system and everything but I wonder if it’s in the best interest of the league....if the goal is to move fast and sim a lot of seasons this really would slow down and drag out the offseason.Plus I think we are working with a very limited number of people still interested in bbpro98

So the point of the league really is the offseason. Hurry up and sim the league, and then we go to the offseason. Once the system is up an running correctly, we should be able to have defined deadlines for when things are do and we will move forward quickly.
Also, I think with this system it doesn't just limit us to people who are interested in the game itself. Ideally, anyone who has interest in baseball simulation games would enjoy this sort of thing. I haven't really advertised anything, because we are still working things out. Once I get it solid, I plan to go out and see what I can find as far as owners.

Player pool B is active now. Go ahead and log in and make sure that you see different players available and are able to make bids.
I know that the bidding on your own players feature is a little off at the moment. I am working to fix that.

think I signed everybody I offered....would have made for a great looking team this year....would have needed 100 million cap though!

I know what you mean. I'm glad that everything seemed to work (for the most part). Just need to finish up the admin panel to make management easy and then we are good to go.
Not sure when I will actually implement it though.

I am finishing up the finance system as we speak. Hopefully in the next week or so it will be ready to go live. I still have to work in the cuts action, a trading system and then finalize the free agent process.
I really appreciate all of you being patient with this process. We will more than likely go through this offseason in test mode and actually implement the salary cap for the 2024 season. So that means one more season of no cap.
If you have any ideas or suggestions about how things are working, or how they should work, please let me know.

The last piece of the financial system is to build the trade console that will allow owners not only to trade players but draft picks.
I will continue working that piece and hope to have it finished by the end of the 2023 season.
I also want to work in a draft console to allow teams to draft players as well as set draft lists to hopefully streamline the drafting process.
